an immortal winter

an immortal winter

A Poem by poddar kushal

He, cursed the winter, a fatal angel,

The long winter made the sun placid

Shackled hands of trees were

                              Bound to the mellow blue.

Our roadside crazy-man

Yawned and cursed You.

 Grinned the slow ice,

It was easy to entice

The dirty and old crazy-man.

We passed him

We smiled with triviality or with

      Pity.

He smiled back

And, please lower your eyes

Because, his smile was beyond everything.

But

He cursed the winter

And, the snow.

We knew: why

When we saw a crazy smile on cursing lips

                                   Frozen to the immortality

This poem I read three times. It is somewhat of a mystery, if I try to overcomplicate..so I stopped. For me to like something, I must feel something after I've read it..and this I did. I will not even try to delve in to secret meanings. I feel this is a powerful poem. Rain..

The poem is also a bit of a mystery to me .. i take meanings as i see them so what i get may not be what you wrote about ..
An old man a young man .. immortality .. winter , death.. this is what i get ..
The old man cursing the winter as he has not long ..a fatal angel.. lovely lines and descriptions ..
A very unique poem ..
