sickness and heart

sickness and heart

A Poem by poddar kushal

Sickness and heart

---------------------------------------

Hand extends to touch yours and

It passes beyond

Only the wetness stays on.

Without a loss of

Something closer to this heart

You cannot be touched.

Wetness douses into heart.

Benumbed I swear!

Aggrieved eyes never

Absolve you for being you:

A thread of deleted mails.

i read many times
lost in the meanings
put a night of sleep
to read again

i felt a ghostly thing
to reach beyond
to pass what is visual
only wetness is left

felt sadness of the loss
that which you can
no longer touch
i cry for more wet

This poem says so many things on many levels. It could relate to internet loving that ends abruplty, where one person finds their heart more involved. You cannot touch and yet desire turns to love.

It could as easily relate to a onesided love where desire and love are both rejected out of hand.

Anger and hurt can never allow you to forgive the person for who they are and all for deleting you just like the mail.

A heartfelt, painfilled write here.

well done

"You cannot be touched"
ahhh...the untouchables! Those people whom we love so much and try so hard to please only to realize they cannot be changed, moved, touched. This poem reminded me of Peter McWilliams' poems. He is one of my faves. Good one, friend.

Interesting.
The last lines were my favorite part of this piece
The first set i found i had to re-read to really grasp what it was about.

I thought as I was reading this, short poem, but will have to read this again more slowly to take it in. Then I got to the last line and that unlocks it, or seems to. Is this about an internet infatuation which literally ends with a deletion? The empasis on touch seems to suggest a desire which can't be touched. And yes, I would certainly swear too! There must be thousands of such deleted infatuations every day in this age of internet affairs d'amore. Enjoyed the read, which can also be taken as a very sage warning.
