Standing thereA Poem by SouthernBelleSitting there looking out the window watching the rain drops falling
Thinking as I lay my head against the cold glass I see you
Your standing there waiting for someone I lay my head on my knees and cry
You used to be there waiting for me but I've been replaced I see you kiss her
It's so cold outside I see you walk by she's cold you give her your jacket
I still wish that was me as you walk past the window I stare at you you smile that fake little smile
I miss you as I sit there I think of here I went wrong
What I did to lose you I see you in the hall I just my head It's not the same
Not being with you It's getting colder the rain is falling more the wind is blowing harder
I go outside I stand there looking up at the sky praying I could talk to you
I feel the ice cold rain drops hit my face I hear the storm sirens I don't care
I see the twister I walk closer I feel two hands pull my back
I turn my head and I see you there You told me to get back inside I told you no that I didn't want to
You picked me up and took me in you put me down and I stand there and stare
I start to shiver you hand me your jacket I put it on and you smile at me
I say why are you doing this? and you tell me you always loved me and then we slowy kiss
We just stand there and let everyone watch We don't care because we're in love © 2012 SouthernBelleReviews
