You thought I loved you, I played you

You thought I loved you, I played you

A Poem by SouthernBelle

Looking out the window

watching everybody pass

I haven't talked in days

everyone thinks I'm mute

These days

have been so cold

since you left

walked out of my life

I watched you pack

your things and leave

you slamed the door

behind you

I sat there crying

drowing myself

I think to myself

what did I do wrong

I stand there and think

did you find someone else

someone better

anyone better

I begin processing

I think

if you really loved me

you would have stayed

You come back later

to get the rest of your stuff

then I see her

I begin to laugh

You say "what"

I just stand there

you look at me

then just walk away

You left me

for a hoe

think you played me

sorry sweetie

I call you

say

"I found something of yours"

and tell you to come over

So you come over

and you see my new boyfriend

You ask "who is that"

I say "oh no one"

You look at me

I start laughing again

I say you played me

guess what I played you too

Sorry hunny

I can play that game too

In fact

I found about you

but you never found about me

You think your sneaky

you think your clever

but sweetheart

you ain't either
