All the pretty words

All the pretty words

A Poem by Kaelyn Shea

All the pretty words are spoken
day in and day out
All the pretty words are spoken
where do they all come from?

i will love you to the end of my days
and i hope that you and i will never split ways
i may be young but you still love me
and i want you to know i will always be you baby

All the pretty words are spoken
making some fall for bad tricks
all the pretty words are spoken
for many, it is their fix

by your side i will always stand
i promise i will never leave you
you are my rock and shield
to your love i will always yield

All the pretty words are spoken
by couples everyday
All the pretty words are spoken
by lovers who will stray

in your arms i will hide from every fear
i will tell you everything my one and only, my dear
i love you babe thats all there is to it
in your hand i place my heart, please dont misuse it

this is not bad for being whipped out during science class (which you should have been listening to, she said in her "worst mother ever" stern voice :)
you definitely have a flair for writing poetry. i can tell that you will certainly grow into it even more strongly as you get some more "life" behind you (you know, when you get "old" like me:)
But is was well written, nonetheless.

Second stanza, last line.. Your* baby, I think that's what you meant.
Your rhymes are pretty good, I don't see anything really wrong.
But to the overall poem, I love it!
It's cute, and shows you are committed, yet still holding back in case you get hurt (or at least that's my interpretation)
I can also see this as a song, as I do many poems. The repetition of "All the pretty words" adds a nice flow.
