Distinguished Gentleman

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

Distinguished he was

Often was said
Just before he went to bed
With a different woman than the night before
Although never one to go with a whore
Distinguished he was
With his little grin
And the graying stubble on his chin
But once with a woman for the first go
New from the last night don’t you know
Things became undone rather quickly when
The lady of the night became most unkind
Finding the only thing little wasn’t just his grin
The gentleman was blessed with a far littler mind
