Twisted Intentionality

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

Irreverent bent of hostility

Crept across the floor
Roaching around the floorboards
Weeviling into my ego
Biting the time it takes
To relent
To your twisted
Intentionality

Why
 Tell me
Why
Can’t you
Just
Leave
Me
Be

You motherfucker
Destructive taker
You leave the
Bodies
In your wake
And when you’re
Done
There’s nothing
Left
Nothing left
To undertake

Mean
Mean
You think it’s me
That put you
In your grave?
Laughs
Laughs
A million
Laughs
It was
You
Who drove the
Stake

Made me think of a story of a couple of love crossed lovers that can never be because the destruction they create when together would end the world that both know. The pain of their hearts consumes them to the point they can not think of anything but each other. Lying to themselves that it could be different this time. But knowing only death awaits them.

Great Job!!!!!!!
