Bleeding Out

Bleeding Out

A Poem by L Gracchus

Curse these walls,
These unscalable heights.
Built with brick.
A callous mixture
Of mortar,
Naive passion,
Fallen tears,
Bitterness,
And vain hope.

Flush the fire,
That unstoppable blaze.
It consumed,
Burning my defense,
My safety.
Razed to the ground,
Wind scatters
Ash of me,
A shadow.

Close those eyes,
Those penetrating orbs.
Reassure
Me I'm not alone.
Misguided
Just like a child.
While I looked,
I soon drowned.
Your eyes lied.

Damn your lips,
Those beckoning doorways.
They parted;
I threw myself in.
No reserve,
Blinded by want.
No regrets.
Losing me,
Inside you.

Bleed on heart,
My being wrapped in flesh.
Feel it all,
Acute pain begs death.
Now removed,
Ripped from my core.
Just lay down,
Bathe in it,
Bloody loss.

I really like this,
it feels violently reassuring, and chaotically peaceful.
Very nice write!!
