Eternal Eyes

Eternal Eyes

A Story by L.M.Warde

Like silent symphonies or a secret song I hide away forever long. I show no measure of myself inside, revealed as a timeless statue in the waves of the autumn breeze. You will never know of the beauties that I see. This world of fallen angels, lies, and thieves letting loose dark clouds that bring evil deeds.

My home is lonely, with no ceiling or walls for covering. My bed is quite earthy, made sweetly smelling by various greens. Nature passes around, under, and above me, turning years to centuries. Yet still I am set in my place, my gazed affixed forever forward to the coming of each new dawn.

I watch this place, made complete by the rustling of the trees; ignited by the twilight's crimson colorings. My body is cold, for I've no heart within. Yet I live even still, though still I will be... The lonesome stone figure forgotten by time to preserve the serenity in this perfect scene.
