I’ve heard so many lies

Felt so many empty smiles

Shallow in heart and spirit

The wind blows its empty song

And-I know I don’t belong 

 

Mother Earth once so beautiful

Is drawn into falseness- filled with angry people

Liars, cheaters

Drawn by power, greed and selfishness

The wind sings its empty song

And I know I don’t belong 

 

Sorrows of the unknown- this unkempt world

Follow me everywhere I go

When the sun goes down I’m left alone

In the dark

In the cold

The winds blow again

Coming from far and near

Here comes this feeling again

The wind blowing, singing its empty song

And I know...

 I don’t want to belong
