My Invisible Hero

I am not superhuman

I can’t fight for myself

Therefore, I depend on you to fight for me

 

Fight for my freedom

Fight for my love

Fight for my life

And in return,

I will not thank you

 

I will never know who you are

I will never see your face

I will never know your name

But every time I take a breath

I expect you to fight for me

 

Fight for my soul

Fight for my death

Fight for my sins

And in return,

I will never be grateful

 

I will not cry if you die

I will not laugh when you are happy

I will not scream when you are in pain

But I expect you to do so for me

Because my life is more valuable than yours

 

So do your job hero

Die fighting for me

 

And in return,

 

I will live my life without caring about you

This is very powerful, very original and very well composed. I love poetic device and you have harnessed the power of anaphora to stir emotion in your reader.
