Love-Drunk

It's a poem...about love. Shocking I know.

Don’t think that I don’t see what you are doing to me

You are drugging me with your love

I can see right through your mask

That you wear so well

 

I am constantly waking up with a hang-over

With all the fake love

You drugged me with

When will I ever learn?

 

I have become a love-holic because of you

I have wanted to stop this long ago

But your love has taken a toxic hold on me

 

Why do you do this to me?

Why do you subject me to such a poison?

 

Every time I see you now

I feel dizzy

And then I start questioning myself

Is it only fake love or is it the pure stuff I am addicted to?

 

You smile but never answer

I don’t think you know what kind of power you have over me

All that I know is that I have to have more of you

I don’t want to go through the withdraw

I don’t need rehab

 

All I need is you

Drug me with your love

I absolutely love this!
I can relate to this so much especially the rehab part.
My favourite line is "I feel dizzy and then I start questioning myself"
that is how I feel when I am in my love sick desperation of companionship.
I am always questioning myself.
Is there more of this?
Would you consider writing more of this if there isn't any?
I don't ever think that there is too many poems like this, yours is perfect and makes me feel ashamed because mine aren't as good ;)
Do you draw inspiration from Dean Koontz for your horror genre or Stephen King?
