Pencil, parchment and portrayal.

Pencil, parchment and portrayal.

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell
"

A small tribute to a fabulous writer who likes pencils, unfortunately I do not have his talent.

"

By shank's pony the poet wonders,

Drifting though Imagination Street yonder,

And glances down with idle eye,

To find an instrument of delight.

This pin-stripped graphic pen,

Laying cast aside and bruised,

Will find an enchanting home by then,

With this poet of unfathomable supply.

And to abode bound playground,

These mind lovers will work,

And together create imagination,

And the worlds most exciting verse.

Bravo! I approve. You are right, it can be wonderfully odd the way pieces of writing come into being. There is also something charming about finding something of worth in a cast off... Perhaps that notion applies to us, too, with few stories being more moving than success against the odds, especially when those that be are proved wrong.

Strange how an article becomes a work of art which in turn becomes a creation of framed thought.

This is a fine, fine piece, which seems to have different facets to it, in spite of a seemingly obvious root.

Thanks lots for sharing.

oh sweetie, this is a delight, what a perfect poem, such a truth and beauty. It makes me cry, so deep, there is no word to much or to weak all works, hm.. this is true poetry. . favorite.

This was really awesome! Yea, you've said it. When someone likes to write, and when they see a writing object, instinct takes over, and they write a huge book in a second lol. Loved this one!

A beautiful poem for a tribute. Pencils are beautiful writing instruments and I do use them when I am scribling ideas down. It is always the simplest things that are the best. Well written poem, good rythum and good choice of words. My favourite line has to be:
Will find an enchanting home by then,
A lovely piece of poetry. Xx

Dreams are not made to be broken, but are created in the heart to write destiny! I've always loved making up stories and putting words down onto paper, despite the fact that I only really learnt to.. more..
