Fields of Wonder

Fields of Wonder

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell

Golden Fields slain with wonder,

To battles with furrow the darkness of hunger,

All shall prosper in the bright warmth of summer,

So to reap the rewards before winters thunder,

Mother Earth’s bounty to the horde surrendered,

To tend her flocks thus forever,

For her life they shall live.

What a profound, powerful vision you create through your words and near lyric song. Vivid language brings to life this field that seems to embrace the world in its beauty and pain... Wonderful words...
