Hold on to a LOVE is

When you can ignite the fire

 

Hold on to the FLAME

Quenches the desire

 

Hold on to your PARTNER

In pleasure and pain

 

Hold on to each other’s FEELINGS

For each other do the same

 

Hold on to the SPELL

Cosmic forces that drew you together

 

Hold on to MAKING-UP

With rekindled romance much better

 

Hold on to the past MEMORIES

That made togetherness hold true

 

Hold on to that special MOMENT

When you each said, “I DO”

 

Hold on to each VALENTINE

That you celebrated best at the start

 

Hold on to that SECRET LOVE forever

That gave sparkle to your heart

HOLD ON TO FOREVER!

I love this, with real Valentine's Day love!!! This is terrific, and dang it -what is with you?! You keep writing SONGS!!! This is without a doubt so obviously intended to be musical...I can hear all manner of music behind it! I am actually lost trying to decide which music would work best. It could even be a disco if you wanted it to. Electronic, jazz...It would work in so many ways. The cadence is killer. I will have to keep going over this more and finding just the thing to make it into the best possible song. Otherwise, great poem and here-here!
