allow me to show you the way

Take My Hand

 

Just look at me

Tell me what you see

And end by means

Tortured life loud screams

Walked through fires of hell

Came up clean without the smell

Concrete decision took to heart

Commenced new life mandatory start

Take my hand…we will share

All the issues you despair

Take my hand…it is the gate

To an new life clear-cut safe

 

Take my hand…it is held out for you

 

I know it feels an eternity

No end to misery and agony

Change was easy change was fun

But this easy change left you undone

You must be brave open that door

Give life a chance to give you more

Light a candle for prayer in part

To clear your head clear your heart

Take my hand…listen to hear

Stop hiding inside all that fear

Take my hand…you don’t have to stay

Without belief in yourself today

 

Take my hand…let me lead you the way

 

Everyone loses faith at some point

Takes a dive, comes apart, disjoints

Gets tangled up in a web of deceit

Lies to yourself you constantly repeat

People you’ve loved, people you’ve lost

Euphoria was the price addiction was the cost

Now alone don’t know whom to trust

What is it now that you want to lust

Take my hand… hold on tight

You and me together we'll fight

Take my hand…walk with me

To your own unique destiny

 

Take my hand…succumb to the Lord’s authority

It will take effort it will take time

The good news is it won’t cost a dime

Work from the heart inside out

When things don’t work just don’t pout

There will be tears there will be sorrow

But a new day starts there is always tomorrow

So many struggles to take a chance

Fall in love with life make it the romance

Take my hand… it is reached out for you

It looks hopeless now but see this through

Take my hand… feel my fires

Let’s get started on your heart’s desires
