A Poem by Lady Celery

The problem with my mind
Is that is either soars to great heights
Where the sun is shining
And the world bursts with color and light
Which makes me feel invincible and joyous
Like I can do anything, and my life is mine,
Or it collapses on itself
And I can feel my soul being barricaded
And there is no warmth or light;
Where there was once color lies only shades of grey.
Joy was replaced by thoughts of death
Making me believe I am hopeless, and hopelessly out of control.

I understand this poem. The up and downs of life. Hard to control. I learn with too much living. Must find a middle ground where you can know some kind of peace. I like the emotional ride in the poem. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I enjoyed the poem although it stirred memories of past anxiety.

Agh, sorry to trigger that. Anxiety is a monster
Nice contrast in the poem, the truth is, your life and your soul is yours and dont let anything or anybody take it away from you.
