Who Moved The Rock

Who Moved The Rock

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Who Moved The Rock
by Tricia Pattinson

Who moved the rock
You were under?

Who cursed the World
With your horrors?

Bringer of great world wars
Terrors without mercy are yours

Was it the rock
That flung itself off?

Could it no longer bare
Your maliciousness?

Was it the Earth Herself
That set you free?

Washing away the unbalance
With humanity's bloody stream?

Or is it Time desiring
New entertainment?

Bored by passive aggressive
Quellings of politicians?

Bringer of world wars
Destroyer of flesh and bones.

Who moved the rock
And set you free?

Harbinger of furious disgust
Especially for those in the know.

Who moved the rock
For beneath it you belong!

This is a very subtle and strong piece that builds so well. Your words are well chosen, they fit the piece beautifully.
