FirefliesA Poem by WhiskurzI miss the days on my front porch Watching the fireflies glow A peaceful place where time stands still Where all the honeysuckles grow Where willows dance beneath the moon And shadows come alive A place without a care in the world Where all the swallows dive A place where God might come to smile And marvel at His creation A place where angels watch in awe Filled with jubilation In a place that's filled with secrets Where morning glories sleep For they only awaken once a day To watch the willows weep I miss the days on my front porch Back when life was slow A magical place beneath the stars Watching the fireflies glow
