Fortitude

Fortitude

A Poem by J.K.P.
"

Another poem from wayyy back when. I still like it, however. My poetry was better when I was depressed. :/

"

 Fortitude

Its massive sails billowing in the blasts of wind

Its crew striving to control it

Its wooden frame creaking forward and aft

The dauntless ship sailed

Through raging waves

Below storm-bruised clouds

Under force of rain

Above churning waters

To the sands of its homeland.

Good. It reminds me of Pound's The Seafarer. And you're write, depression is a good muse; here's the list I pulled from wikipedia: Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia, Urania, Sappho, and Depression. =)
