And then I cried

And then I cried

A Poem by LawrenceRaybon
"

The second part of a two poem series. Read the other one 'Drowning' first for full effect. Link: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/LawrenceRaybon/1933349/

"
And then I cried
The tears washing
My weary being
Of bitter resentment

And then I forgave
Myself my foolishness
My faults and fickleness
Releasing and yet embracing me

And then I wept
For the hope I found
For the bright new day
Tomorrow would bring

And then I smiled
Still a little sad
Still a lot lonely
Not completely healed, but healing.

And then I cried.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Note: This is a standalone poem but also the second poem in a set of two. Please read 'Drowning' as well. I would absolutely love feedback that took both into account.
