Bittersweet indulgence

Bittersweet indulgence

A Poem by LeahRhodes

Damn this bittersweet indulgence;
What was only meant to distract the thoughts
is now corrupting your soul.

Tenderness, there is none;
Affection is nowhere to be found.
What binds you to this object of your rêverie?
No such thing as pure as Love
for you don't know how to allow your heart
to fall, to

sink deeper than your stomach when he enters your sight.
The damned corrosive Desire,
slowly rusting your bones and your Self:
Desire initated this

foolishness.
Begone, devilish obsession;
Nothing good ever comes out from your deeds.
Begone, or admit
accepting the temptation further
will surely destroy your life and future.
