Medicine Crow

Medicine Crow

A Poem by L.Edward

bird shape darkness

cookie cutter

edged on blue opalescence

It pedalled,

fluttered its feathered ailerons

gainst’ the current

Upwards it trailed

w' my awed thoughts

on some gossamer thread:

my very own crow kite

keeping pace with the train

It wheels away

trailing more thread

then settles,

kicks a little

snags mongst the tussock

A ruffle

then rest

The line trails,

whips lazily

settles

w' no more handle in mind

An amazing description along with the comparison to thoughts where both on gossamer thread...You do those things so good...:)

With that same gossamer thread we connect and dance with the universe and the kite with its string become the stairway to the All.

What a beautiful spiritual journey this is. Just watching a kite interact with natures whims is always breathtaking.
Your imagery is so wonderful and took me on that spiritual journey with nature.
Lovely writing indeed.

As it did in me! Loved it!
The crow is a symbol of knowledge and death. Your crow kite is your soul and it travels on other planes. It sees and experience what your physical self does not. When the kite string is cut...

Tremendous writng here, there is a fascinated child and an equally observant adult spectator speaking ( the same being), rich and unusual use of vocabulary, excellent poetry I think, I mean, the real stuff; Really Great!
