Liberty Spell

Liberty Spell

A Poem by L.Edward
"

This is a chant to help release our minds from fear and give us the power to overcome our obstacles; wether they be political, mental, emotional, economic or otherwise.

"

The rains of your misery we absorb like the sea

in deserted neglect we will bloom just like flowers

to the action of theft we restore with our gifts

and to the darkness of treachery a torch we will be

As the fire of insult we quench with our praise

and the stone of indifference with such roots we will tilt

from the grip of your tyranny we slide like the sand

to the face of your lies open palms we will raise

To the flood of your ignorance, we stand like the rock

as the chains on the truth with our minds we will rust

such divison and fear we will heal with our love

till such anger and hate are no longer real

The rains of your misery we absorb like the sea

Please absorb all my miseries!! Hahaha.

Anyway, This is the kind of poem that needs a couple of readings before finally getting the idea. Only then can one be able to appreciate the beauty of the message. I like it that way. Keep inspiring! :)

You're welcome
I had to read this three times and read more slowly each time.. too much metre for me at first, somehow putting more emphasis on that than the content. Having slowed my reading, i felt the intention; will return until each word means the calm and release that you ask for your reviewers.

Must quickly add that the core of this is quite lovely.

I like the driving reassuring rhythm of this piece and the theme of beneficent nature, the only true restorer of our lost faith.
