Unspoken

Unspoken

A Poem by Christopher Humphrey
"

This poem was about a young boys first true love and how she helped him develop into a young man

"

Her name is unspoken

Through these words I have chosen
With a soft touch to her skin and a brief kiss to her lips I was forever dazed
Lost in a world that I would never be able to understand
Could this be what they call love
This was something way beyond my time
Something I could never comprehend
But with her she makes everything so much easier
Opening a new world I've never seen before making me feel like I've never felt before
Though we are not together anymore she will always have a place in my heart
You can never get rid of your first love the one who taught you it all from the start
Looking in from darkness trying to get to the light
With only one thing on my mind
If I can have her in my arms tonight
Though most won't understand this wasn't just a simple love poem
But it was a search to turn a boy into a man
Hand and hand with the women of his dreams
That showed him everything that he needed to love
Her name is unspoken.

Nice soliloquy and testament to Miss Unspoken. Emotionally gripping without being mushy (sorry I don't like mush myself as it tends to turns love into romance) and first loves should be remembered with respect like you have done here. Thank you for sharing, it was a good read.
