To Write/To Right

To Write/To Right

A Poem by Legion
"

Something new I was playing with.

"

To Write/To Right

To write     To right

The words,     The wrongs

With pen,     Of men

That fill      That kill

The mind      Their kind.

Of thoughts.      No thoughts

Giving      Given

To pieces     To peace

Of love     Or love,

When the heart rules.     Where only hurt rules.

Experimentation juxtaposes with genius, Legion, for I took a second glance and was delighted that I did.
Rhyme...toying with emotion, theme and word choice ( incredible word choice, I might add) ... leave
the reader with many intense thoughts... so many questions left to ponder. Compelling final line...

Clever, brings to mind ee. I especially enjoyed the parallel mind flow of thought on one side and emotion upon the other.

Ah, I love the experimentation of the style. I think trying different things poetically is a neat risk and you've done it well with the brevity of your words. The intermingling of rhyme and homonyms is clever.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is the sound of one hand clapping! Really fantastic sacred word geometry! Like the thoughts comprising the left and right hemispheres of the brain! Yowza......you see!.....you get a Yowza!

Very clever and cerebral piece of shape poetry. I wrote a similar piece, titled "Love v Hate" in my book - "The Drummer in Me" so I respect and appreciate the time/thought channeled into 'To Write/ To Right".

This poem is just way too cool. I absolutely love it! So imaginative and creative and that is just the form! I really liked the way the rhyme was incorporated. But above all, the writing is really incredible and the message is enhanced so well by the form. Yes, I am quite smitten with this poem and truly appreciate the creativity and talent required to craft it. Clearly, this is going into my favorites.
