God Made Man

God Made Man

A Poem by Legion
"

Something short that hit me a few minutes ago. May add more later.

"

God Made Man

God made man,

An image unto Itself,

To procreate

And proliferate

Within Its kingdom.

Man made god,

An image unlike himself,

To barter

And bargain

For buying his kingdom.

You've got that right Legion!

We humans barter, steal and sell ourselves (many times to the devil) to gratify our earthly desires.
God on the other hand, asked nothing of us other than to go and multiply and follow his commands.
Then he created Adam and Eve...and look what happened!

Then he got ticked off and created the big flood...and guess what...we still didn't learn a thing.
Now we are worried about Armeggedon...when will mankind ever learn!!!!

Loved this...short...and to the point. Wouldn't change a thing!

I just bow down to the richness in this piece. Short yet powerful and right on point. It is a shame what we have done to this world and the people in it. You summed it up.

This is really good. More reason presented by an obvious intellectual.
Really, when did we foolishly accept a dog and pony show as 'spiritual'?
Was it as we sat in the cool shade of an oak, listening to the sermon of the mockingbird?

this is deep. very thought-provoking. forces the reader to decide for himself, whether or not god exists or is only a figment of man's imagination. i think you've captured the essence of man perfectly in that last stanza. excellent write.

Simple and very meaningful. Once again I must say that if you are given a small amount of words you will make sure that they pack a very big punch. Excellent.
