Beautiful Lady of the Night

 

In a mirror through smoke and in half-light

I caught a ghost-like reflection

Of the Beautiful Lady of the Night

 

And again in the moments of serenity unwrapped

I just caught a glimpse

Of a woman, who is lost and is trapped

 

A beautiful lady so seemingly collected

her hair in soft ringlets

not designed to be rejected

 

I only have a fragment of your time,

But the memory of you

Will stay forever in my mind

Again, your imagery is wonderful. As to the poem itself, this one didn't seem to flow so well as the others, particularly the line "not designed to be rejected". But I understand the woes of finding the right words whilst trying to maintain flow. Overall, very nicely written though! Favourite line -- "her hair in soft ringlets"
