A FragmentA Poem by leighgreen
A Fragment
In the extremity of your blackness
There was a temper that was just and fair
It took me a while to see it, but when I did
I thought I saw inside your soul
As I patrolled you ever closer
You became weary of my studying eyes
And so you cast me adrift
Into a sea of despair
I never did quite recover with my gaping
wound
And I wish I had taken a fragment of you
An imprint
An impression
Something durable
A more permanent reminder of what I had
I would cherish that
A lock of your hair
Dry, treated and black
The scent of your skin
Sweet and light
The arch of your foot
Feminine and high
The mid of your waist
small and well crafted
The mood you were in
Any colour of the rainbow
The shape of your breasts
Curvaceous and soft
The thoughts in your mind
Unknown
