The Beauty In Me

The Beauty In Me

A Poem by Lesley Wood
"

I feel ugly sometimes when red-colored anxiety-nervosity whirlwinds inside me....

"
I feel ugly sometimes
When red-colored anxiety-nervosity
Whirlwinds inside me,
Screening pleasant thoughts
 Into chaos.
 I feel ugly sometimes,
And I squeeze &  I grasp
Any stronghold or lifesaver;
Any real, solid material.
 I feel ugly sometimes,
 But you are there
Giving me help and strength.
You are there holding me close.
I feel ugly sometimes,
But know beauty exists
 In realms  of the eye,
And realms of the mind.
You are the only one
 I care to let see
 The beauty in me.

Beautiful poem about the beauty of you! I do believe that when we come to the place where we can see the beauty within us....that's when we stop "feeling" ugly and lost. Good job!
