A Dissolving Match

The heartache and pain

Will pass in Time;                 

His love endures forever.

 

I am the lighthouse in a storm.

Never say forever.

Cold winds lick my skin.

I see the sinkhole in the sand,

 

And there is no warm strong hand.

There is no security.

There is no one to share my bed,

Or hear the thoughts in my head.

The light grows dark.

Where is my lighted path?

Where is the arrow pointing the way?

 

Does his love truly endure

Or will I burn forever?
