Through A Window

Through A Window

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

something more tradtional..

"
Whisper the stress in sky
That pulls the strength from blue
A church open like an October rose.
The path says; joins arms with me
In solace; the darkness cools my face
Night`s curtains calm my eyes.
Have seen this many times before,
The picture stencilled in my soul
For times when I dare to rest;
The inner way,the road so hard.

For me, this had the feeling of going to confession, but hey, that may just be the Catholic in me.

A very well crafted poem. Its somber and mysterious but very
compelling.

The depth at which you write prose is exceptional. I don't think anyone can write as deep.

A nicely penned unique poem. Often our thoughts that run about in our minds keep us from rest. The days and nights that seem to repeat themselves yet are never really the same. Some troubling and others more joyful. Even so, they can keep peace away.

Very beautiful words elegantly strewn together in a mysterious tale. Well penned.

Thanks for the kind words, from a poet of your quality praise indeed !
Your works are always worth waiting for Leslie. Shades of winter's approach in this and perhaps the anology of passing time itself as we struggle with life and grow older? As always it feels a privilage to read you.

Thanks for the review 1
Simple, pure and beautiful, Leslie. The wistfulness of longing, of daring, the need for calm and peace. The structure and flow complement the expression and descriptions. Wonderful writing.
