Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Peyton Light
"

A poem of the inner thought of someone who is about to commit suicide.

"

I sit in my room alone

And I put another mark in my arm.

I watch as the blood flows.

I suppose this is making me feel better.

It takes away all the pain.

Takes away the lies, the memories...

The depression.

What does this make me?

Does it make me evil or wrong?

Maybe it's okay...

As long as no one finds out.

At this point,

It's the only thing keeping me from dying.

But maybe death is a better choice.

I wouldn't be missed.

It's not like there's someone who would want to stop me.

I don't really care anymore.

I know I'll end up in Hell,

But Hell is better than this.

Goodbye.

The agony and pain required to push someone over the edge of self control is immense, something I hope no one has to experience. It is horrifying how many lonesome souls are trapped in a world of misery and self hatred, a world so dark and isolated that the only thing they know how to do is remind themselves of why they're there: pain. It is a release, a way to express what they cannot form into words, it is a symbol of true loneliness and it should be stopped by any means. Trust me when I say that there are people out there who do care and will spend all their time trying to make you feel better because they know that no one should feel that way, it isn't right.

You've beautifully represented those who are struggling with this. Perhaps you may enjoy my poem "Just Like Rain," it has a similar theme and a dark tone just as this one does. Well done on this poem, full rates.

So dark but sadly so accurate people go through that some times sadly some times the people that you least expect think that a person can look like they are the happiest person but deep down they feel like they are deep in the pits of hell this poem is wonderful and shows exactly how some one going through depression would feel sadly it's really close to what I though during tough times but the past is the past thank you for posting and joining my group

Ouch..that's pretty dark, but seems pretty accurate. I once almost had a thought of it, but it went away quickly, but it was awful. Your poem did a great job conveying it.

People who want to commit suicide.
Unfortunately, I know this train of thought has gone through many people's minds. Depression is a difficult foe to vanquish. Nice job.

it's very well wrote.once again it is a shame so many are going through this alone, feeling they have no one to talk to but its seems nowadays it is just a norm in this society. life is real tough for some and u have captured it perfectly
