Prayer

Prayer

A Poem by Letemdangle

I'm not a religious man.
I'm not a holy man.
I'm not a good man.
I'm not a man of any consequence.

I am a man who wishes a prayer.
I am a man who dreams that dreams are real.
I am a man who offers a helpful hand.
I am a man who marvels at beauty created from nothing, an ideal.

It's hard to articulate how we must consolidate,
Our prayers,  Our Hopes,  Our Desires.
More difficult to extrapolate,
individual thought, art,  philosophy, conviction.

Mankind can attain higher degrees.
Mankind can grow within the hell it creates.
Mankind can find fault and hate, if it serves his fate.

As vast as the Universe is,  I find myself confined to the ones I love.  From them my mind and heart,  Confirms I am only consciousness.

My best achievement in life is never having killed anyone. My nickname is not to make you think I am morbid, I use it as a symbol of injustice. Let him dangle is a song about injustice from Elvis Cos.. more..
