Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum

Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum

A Poem by Askew

I want many things.
I will be the first to admit my greed.
These things I want
Are not things I need.
In this world
There are only two necessities:
Justice
And honesty.
I have been given neither.
I need only these
And yet I starve for them.
I've paid my dues,
I know what I deserve.
Where are the truths
And debts I'm owed?
I have given much,
Even more has been forcibly taken.
I will not stop
Till justice has been served,
I have learned the truth,
And I've gotten what I deserve.
