Thunderstorm of EmotionsA Chapter by Alexis
Here we go, this is my storm
I'm the boss, so step down you of lesser authority
The lightning is my sudden anger
The thunder is my choice of yelling
Are you listening to me? I'm trying to explain.
The wind is my hushed cries that blend with nature
Calling for help, but only be whisked away
Left to be dropped somewhere in the land of forgotten
The toppling over trees?
Those are the outcome of my tossing and turning at night
I can't sleep, there's too much on my mind
My stomach is empty and I can't make myself focus
My mood swings are the tornado sirens you hear going off
The clouds are my eyes, letting down my tears of agony
Singe your hair and clothes as they fall
I don't know how much longer you're going to survive
See that forming tornado over there?
That's all of my fears, hurt feelings, bad thoughts
All of it is bound up into one big tool of destruction
But luckily for you,
it's only going to destroy me.
