Like Raindrops

Like Raindrops

A Poem by Alexis
"

Wrote this during school. :3

"

I breathe in the once sweet breeze

filled with the bliss and laughter of "once was"

Ashes fall from the sky like raindrops,

burning holes deep down to the hidden abyss

The hushed cries of the children

echo from in to out

The ashes like raindrops continue to fall

As hell breaks down our world.

It feels bittersweet. I feel like you're losing something, and you're saddened by it, but you're accepting it.
Just my interpretation. Lovely write! Stellar flow, effortless metaphors.
