Same Melody

Same Melody

A Poem by Alexa Tarvid

Smooooth,

As smooth as a lovers' dance

Is the heartbeat of jazz,

Feel it in the hands,

The shoulders,

The hips,

The feet,

And then the soul,

Ooh,

The music travels through the veins,

Calling the blood to a rhythm,

A rhythm so smooth,

The heart picks up the same beats,

The same melody,

Even breathing soon falls in line,

Smooooth

Is the heartbeat of jazz,

It calls the whole body to a rhythm

That only dancing can control,

A fix,

Such a beautiful drug,

A high created by the music,

Created by the soul,

Ooh,

So smooooth

Is the heartbeat of jazz,

Feel it in the hands,

The shoulders,

The hips,

The feet,

And then the soul.

very good. Your structure and measuring is very post-modern but not your content. Sorry but not what I'm looking for for my contest.
