I am me

I am me

A Poem by Lexyeff

In a world of no god - I have faith
In a world of just anybody - I search for the one
In a world of rejection - I accept you all
In a world of lost - I will lead the way back
In a world of helpless - I will always be there
In a world of heartless - I am sympathy
In a world of them
I am me

Fantastic themes here - being yourself, loving unconditionally, loving compassion. You seem to have a talent at "beginning with the end in mind", wrapping up your poems powerfully.

Yes, be yourself. Life starts there. If you stay true to the compass in your heart, you'll never go wrong.

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

Awesome, I love the message of the poem… standing up for what is right and not following the masses.

Nice mix of words. In a world of people following the same path. Hard to know. We are different. Each with different skills, hope and dreams. I like the ending,.
"In a world of them
I am me"
Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

About
Hello fellow writers, I normally use writing as an outlet. When I'm going through something I convert it into a metaphorical piece. I've been told it's 'different', but I hope some of you guis.. more..
