Forbidden Love

This is the story of the Dragon Lord and the Wind Princess who broke the confines of forbidden love to be together.

 The Wind Princess waits, not asking much

She dances, longing for your touch

Do not come to her bait

Just sit and wait

Curious, she'll come to you

 

Her eyes shine with a certain secret

Give her your heart and she'll always keep it

She giggles and spins and beckons to you

Her dress whirls around her, a midnight blue

One look at her and you'll never escape 

 

Her fiery kiss

Her eyes shine with bliss

As she releases herself within your embrace

As you softly touch her face, she begins to cry

 

Her words speak true

She cannot stay with you

She stands up, a soft wind blows

She looks at you and suddenly she knows

To you, only, she will give her love

 

Her usual coy, her radiant smile

She fools the others with her outward beguile

She lies in the flowers, staring at the stars

Her loving words locked behind bars

Hating the confinements of forbidden love

 

She watches you, throughout the years

You find another, bringing her to tears

She stands at the cliffs, staring at the sky

She cannot hold back her tears, she begins to cry

You see her and call out

 

She turns around, starts to fall

Then you hear the Goddess call

The Wind Princess slips out of sight

She screams in one last deadly flight

Waiting for the cold embrace of the sea

 

The Goddess waits, patient as could be

As the Princess falls into the sea

A splash, a crash, a sounding roar

As the Princess is carried to the shore

By the Dragon King

 

You touch her face, your lips meet

You stroke her hair and listen for a heartbeat

The Goddess beckons, reaching for the girl

You hold her close, precious as a pearl

The Goddess screams, defeated by love

 

As the sun begins to rise

You look up at the lightening skies

A tiny moan fills the airs

The rustling of a dress, a swish of the hair

You smile as the sky is reflected in her eyes

 

Love is now theirs to have

A bright future on their path

They have always been together

Their love will endure forever

As long as they both shall live
