In my eyes

When people look at me I know they see a small young lady with blonde hair and blue eyes , a small nose, and a wide smile.


When I look at people I see faces some streaked with worry lines other with smile lines.

When I see a flower I do not see it as a plant I see it as a way of life from its stem too the color of the petals I see something small that gives me life.

When I see a animal barking at me at first I am frightened then I see a loyal friend protecting his family.

When I see a book I do not see words on paper I see a key to another world.

When I see art I do not care who painted it I see the brush strokes and the smudges of the artists hands where their hands had lain.

I do not see people for their clothes I see a person walking in life just like me.

I see the world through my eyes through my glasses and see the sky for traveling clouds and think how amazing it is that the world is spinning so fast yet I can see one cloud and lay in the grass and stare at the cloud until I floats away.

I see many things some good some bad I see my family the joy on people's faces and when a person is about to laugh I see people when they are going to cry when they feel hate when they just feel beaten.

These are my eyes and mine alone so let me see things my way because to me it is beautiful and horrible and I wouldn't want to see it any other way.

One of my favorite lines: "When I see a book I do not see words on paper I see a key to another world." You`ve captured many verses of life ..in this poem and the title`s very good. Looking interesting.

I like one more line: "I see the sky for traveling clouds" that`s very thoughtful & full of wisdom. Another beautiful work!
