An interesting haiku/senryu, and true for most of us I would think.

I can't pretend to reinvent the wheel but I believe that when the needing for discovery dies, that's a sure sign that the end is near.

A haiku true to its form! Deep, full of imagery. Emotion even in a mere three lines... You have a gift. Not just anyone can write so much in so little! Carry on

and the need for discovery is something many of my students have, but several have no need, no use and no desire...

I love this poem, perfect for a teacher to relate to.
