For just one Moment~

Sometimes in our own misery...we forget to open up our eyes to others pains and sorrows..xo

For just one Moment

With the winds of change on my back

the sea of uncertainty that I'm facing

for just one moment

could you see me?

Could you give too me in the

ways I have you?

Did you forget to ask or don't you

care?

Do you know what it takes for me

everyday not to slice the blade deeply

into my wrist?

I do...I know the pain while having to

also make you smile...

For one moment could you see inside

the dark recesses of my torment...

you see...it's not only you who is suffering

Tears stain my face so often it's like

my own personal stigmata...burning acid

line like lay lines across a lifeless shadow

of what once was and the pain of what

will never be...

Did you know while making you smile

I'd walk the river...sit for awhile

and pray for strength to lie next

to my sacred waters...and cut myself

high and deep...just so I could peacefully

fall asleep in this secret place of my bliss?

Instead I lay at the bank...in the soft sand

and the sun beating down upon my face...

watching as the clouds in the blue sky

drift away...symbolizing my life

Have you ever...for just one moment

really ever taken the time to see me?

My selfish thoughts of death are set aside

as the clock tells me our time is approaching

I look forward to the little death

it somehow makes me feel the disconnect

from life...I so seem to know all to well

However, I'm smiling now...blooming

loving, sharing passion unbridled....

because I seem to love you

more then I've ever loved me~

This was truly beautiful and plumbed from the depths of all that we feel without means to speak. Wow. The desire to be seen and acknowledged that never seems forthcoming. And sadly, even were we to lie bleeding out, what we want most will be ... well it's not forthcoming. So we... what? Accept, move on or adjust. Those are the choices given us. I have learned that eventually, we will have lived enough to try all three. I have. In that order. I find they all have their benefits and drawbacks. Personally, I have moved into the "move-on" years which are more effective now but still... SEE ME! Thank you for this. Apparently it caused much me to think a bit. (OUCH!)

I cant tell you how much I can relate to this poem. "Because I seem to love you more than I ever loved me." That line really stuck a cord in me. When I was going through such awful depression that I thought several times a day about ending my life there was one person that helped me get up everday more than anyone else did, amazing poetry, 100
