Bachelor

Bachelor

A Poem by Linda

He is the head turner...
Anyone on his arm, others wish they were her.
His scent exudes seduction, luring his prey like a predator.
his smile illuminates the world brighter than the sun...so beautiful it stop hearts
he is truly a work of art
every part of him crafted perfectly by the hands of Greek gods
his caramel skin smooth as silk makes your mouth water and stare, awed.
the way his voice echos in your ears feels like electricity coursing through your veins
your blood boils at his touch, and you cant move as if your bound to chains,
the trance he induces is baffling
the way his lips move when he speaks leaves one quivering.
And if i could describe the last thing about this beautiful nightmare, it would be his eyes.
God his hazel eyes are like looking into another world. you can get completely lost
he is the bachelor that screams nothing but trouble... yet many think its worth the cost.
I know because i was once one...
Like gambling but not with money
it was my heart...
Not one piece. not one spot
"All in" I said as i fell in the pool they call love.
It was warm and consuming.
nothing compared to the feeling.
i fell deeper and deeper.
until it started to shatter
The beautiful illusion that the he had created was just that...a ruse to use you
I tried to swim to get out of the pool that I was so deeply into
I stared at him as he stared down from above.
I was drowning . I couldn't reach the top.
my heart felt as if it was lit on fire. No matter what I did, this pain wouldn't stop.
everything started fading , my lungs collapsing.
His hands stayed in his pockets as his angelic face saw me take my final breaths.
I closed my eyes "this is it... this must be my final goodbye"
I tried to let peace take over
But soon I feel him pool me out of the water.
Hope fills my heart. He smiles his breathtaking smiles before laying his lips on mine.
I feel my heart shattering, and dissolving away...but not before listening to the final line...
"Silly girl. That's why they call it Death of a Bachelor."

I love how he is the villain and the hero in your eyes, that is indeed a very realistic take on love and admiration tangled with disgust and betrayal. The entire roller coaster of emotions endured in a relationship with a "bad boy" speaks volumes in your piece. I enjoyed reading it and makes me think on how not to be such a person whilst still having such a major impact on the loves of my life.
Edit this sentence a bit if you could is my only critique "But soon I feel a him pool me out of the water."
Loved the write :)

Some men
are a disgrace to the gender
they should be extinct by now lol
Well ..... never gamble with your heart
Watch and observe and observe and observe
Then take action
if it takes years so be it
only believe what you see
not what he says
I love the imagery here
you got my brain rolling :)
