If Time Could

The world should never know so much pain..

If time could reverse its tune

then we must always be praised

here, in these lights of the past

shining brightly in spite of all the damages we’ve done

If time could reverse its tune

then the streets wouldn’t burn

and the ashes of days past would wipe away

we would know nothing of our lives of destruction

If time could reverse its tune

then we would understand these days

and you would know of what my words speak

from a distance, the air would be sweet with victory

If time could reverse its tune

then our battle would move forward

our dance would never end

and the feet of many lost souls would walk again
