Death does not become you

Death does not become you

A Poem by Lisa Burns

 Wake up, she’s dead.

You must go on living.

Your spark must continue

although hers is gone forever.

You loved her, needed her, hurt for her.

But today is a new day.

Do not be empty. Do not hide.

She is dead. She wants you to live.
