Collide

Collide

A Story by LisaMauro
"

"

Your heady scent has been tainted, soiled by the brush of another's touch. Coal black eyes lock with mine, betraying the love I once bestowed. Stubble grazes across my cheek, igniting the embarrassingly erratic beating of my heart, prompting my jeans to tighten with desire. Head and heart collide, clashing fiercely in battle. The room is filled with ragged breath and pounding hearts. Weakness sets in, lips devour mine. All too quickly I taste it; the sharpness of another's breath. I push you away, raking crimson lines across your chest. Smoldering eyes widen in surprise.

"You still taste like her."
