Silly Girl ~

Silly Girl ~

A Poem by Color of the Iris

Silly girl, with dreams so bright
I'm sorry we were never meant to collide
Just to cry out in desperateness
We hope and fear of that goodbye

Silly poet, who were you to think you could write?
No more shall you waste your words
On things no one else will ever understand
And on things that are never heard

Silly life, with an innocence so sweet
Did you think you would be happy forever?
No more sweet than the blood of rotten meat
Or this world and it's corpse's endeavor

Silly world, the end is finally here
And now you sit alone in your chair
Waiting and waiting for the end of time
To come and relieve us all from despair

Silly girl, would you please wake up?
Your world is slowly collapsing from the inside
No more time to turn away
No more time to scream as your world slowly dies

I'm so depressed.... I don't even care anymore. I guess that makes me a "Silly girl"... doesn't it?

Just a great piece, it shows exactly how someone with depression sees the world "whats the point if we all die in the end" i used to think like this too, i mean i still understand it comes to an end eventually but you have to live while you can. aim to be happy in the dark times, find a friend who will listen to you when you need them to, that's how i get through the harsh times, and remember there are people who care about you. by pouring all your feelings into writing i am sure you can make yourself feel better.

wow very powerful and I know the same feeling. If you didn't care, you wouldn't have written this, so keep writing. It helps with depression....trust me I know

This was lovely.
Caring about your own depression is hard. It's difficult. It's impossible. But sometimes, when you are all you have, it seems like the only choice. The last two stanzas are so powerful. You built up this poem so well. thank you for sharing this.

Watch "Pollyanna". And I heard from an old teacher of mine that "Trust Movie" was really great too. They're supposed to push your spirits up. Everything just happens and wounds heal, scars fade. Just keep your spirits UP! Don't let anything get you down! DAMN IT it's your life. If you can confide in someone go ahead. Man wasn't meant to cry alone. We are by nature incomplete. Go to your best friend. Tell all. Get it off yourself.

Crying helps. Catharsis. And then you can see clearly.

You still have a sense of humour. Somewhat embittered though. Get a grip d****t!

I like this.. it is wonderfully written but I'm sorry to hear you are depressed (don't know if you still are or not) but if you ever want someone to talk to I'm here to listen.
Good Job

Never, depression is not a sign of weakness, but rather a realization that life is not only sunshine, it is grey and gloom. Second and third stanza has the most impact for me, personally, I found it hard to connect with the rest of the verses . . . perhaps I'm just not in that mindset at the moment.

You doubt yourself too much. Maybe you feel like something's missing and just don't realize it. Beautifully written, but I am now concerned about you. Here's a special poem I made for you, I hope it'll make some "light" come into your life.

"I have been in the darkness for far too long
and that feeling was becoming just way too strong
No matter where I went, I just didn't feel like I belonged
Deathly afraid of harsh judgement from murderous eyes
all because I made a foolish decision that was not very wise
From within you could not hear my desperate and lonely cries as
private tears fell down from my eyes like rain from the skies
I should be rotting in prison, but God has other plans...,

For me to become a better man, to be all I can.

So now you see that life can be so much better
all it takes is to dry your eyes before they get any wetter,
pick yourself up and chase that mystery of who you really want to be
or whatever you miss
hurry, chase it and give it a kiss and welcome it as if was an old friend
for tomorrow your chance to do so may end"

You might not feel like doing it, but you should go out and have some fun with friends and do things you enjoy. Exercise helps too, and it's even better when you are doing it with friends because they'll keep you motivated.

This poem is darkly written but oddly beautiful at the same time. We all have our bad days, so hopefully you pick yourself up :) You are a very talented writer and I hope to read more from you :)

it's silly if you think you can't write and people won't listen, you have a beautiful talent.
