I Surely Need Seven Hands!!!

I Surely Need Seven Hands!!!

A Poem by LisetteCanWrite!
"

A little humour. A contest entry for the All-nighters of WC! 5 minute writing challenge... you get what you work for!

"

Only five minutes to write;

to enter is what you ask.

I Surely Need Seven Hands;

for this outrageous multi-task.

It's alright.. I'm sure I'll be okay;

so right now I'm typing rapidly away.

I like a little fun and honest competition;

not caring about double-wording repetition.

Oh no.. my timer says I'm down to three;

No topic to write other than what you see.

Time is sure quickly counting down to write;

two minutes now.. wow this writing's light.

Hey this is really crazy lady;

but it is a pure adrenaline rush.

I'm thinking so hard so fast;

my brains are going to go to mush.

One minute left on the clock;

I just won't get anymore.

Oops, there now goes the buzzer;

I'm LMAO on the floor.

This was honestly timed on a night where I am having writer's block!!! ;)

Isn't it astonishing that, when you need for them to, rhymes just magically seem to fall into your head?
I believe you've commented on "The End Of The Page" previously: ten quatrains, composed in 47 minutes!
I fret so over form, I'm not sure I could write anything as swiftly as five minutes, but it might be fun to give it a go!
Loved the poem! Completely, hilariously conveys the essence of the "mind-fart", which so overtakes us on occasion. Hang tough!

I just wanted to point out that the pic I chose for this contest entry is not mine but the one posted on the contest itself.. just so people don't think it's my pic! I tried going through my own photos and their picture kept coming back into my train of thoughts so I went with it. Every minute was real written.. I was laughing at the end because of the loss of thinking of a topic and I also broke my annoying red egg timer.. which I knocked off my desk when it startled me and I will not miss!
