Cassiopeia

Cassiopeia

A Poem by Little Birdie
"

She conducted silence.

"
She conducted silence.

Told me she never went to music school,
never was a prodigy on the violin.
She conducted.

Largissimo.

Allegro non troppo.

Each dust piece colliding loudly
against one another.

She told me she couldn't assemble harmonies,
but the Sun was bright
and the day was larger than life
highway cars playing it one after another
once more, with feeling

and I liked to pin the harmony of it all
on her.

She told me she couldn't write notations,
but forty-nine constellations looked
handwritten to me
and I liked to pin it on her

as she pointed towards the ever-spinning
queen and her daughter,
the decrescendo of the moment
calmed the seas and

the Sun crumbled
the stars flickered
the silence won.
